Just so we're clear...
Nothing is really happening.
I finished with school and am enjoying my break.
I'm slowly transitioning to the new position at work which has it's ups and downs.
But, let me tell you a little story:
My prayers for the last few months sound somewhat like this (not really, but let me be dramatic for a moment): "Dear God, help me to hate food so I don't grow fat and blow up like Aunt Marge in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Also, help me not die whenever I run. And if you could see fit, I'd really like a date somewhere in the midst of all of that. Just a date with a nice guy. If you could make it happen, I'd really appreciate it. I mean, it's no parting the sea, but I'd still give you all the credit!"
As of today, I'm now co-chair of the Mingles committee for Sundays at Church (code word for food for the starving YSA who really are just going to go home and get dinner but the ward decides that they need an excuse to "get to know" each other since none of our other activities quite take care of that). Please note that there was a LOT of sarcasm in that parenthetical.
So, I can only conclude that 1) God has a sense of humor (as per usual) and either He thinks that I can handle it. Or He's accepted that I'm a lost cause and is giving me free reign for the next 7 months until I graduate from my ward because I'm too old.
Maybe I'll just make food that I'll never eat. That could work, right?
