Showering a Bride
My friend, partner in crime, and travel buddy Beth, decided to get married this year. So, my other friend, Rach and I teamed up to pull off an amazing bridal shower on our own. We knew we had a lot to live up to with previous bridal showers, but we were willing to take on the challenge. And I'd like to think that we did well.
Maybe it all happened in the midst of the conference I was working on, which added a new level of stress. I was really glad that we got to celebrate Beth, her wedding, and fun times.

Working a Conference
In February, I got to run social media for a large genealogy conference here. This meant that I got to wear jeans and be away from the office for four days and share some of the behind the scenes action that happened to build the conversation online. It was exciting and exhausting all in one.
So, here are a few pictures of what happened for you:

Day 1:
I helped define some strategy for this, one of which was interviews with the keynote speakers.
My first day they gave me a volunteer t-shirt. It was fine, except people kept trying to ask me for directions or information and I was just trying to work.
T-shirts for the attendees. Pretty cool.
I got to see the expo hall get set up and it was pretty awesome. My favorite was the free drinks.
The large conference hall before the first full day of the conference.
The Pioneer Woman was one of the keynote speakers.
On Saturday I got to sit at the feet of some of the general authorities to hear their words about genealogy. That was pretty cool.
And I got to stand a few feet away from some of the cast members of Studio C. My co-worker bet me $20 to go kiss one of the guys. I didn't. But man alive, people were crazy for them.
Basically, Wednesday through Friday was kind of crazy that week, but I survived and enjoyed myself immensely. Plus, I added a very successful project to my resume. That's a win. But I was really glad to sleep on Sunday.
